Here is the best video yet comparing the 2, they freeze the videos to where they start at the same place, and you kinda have to pick your own ending spot. ZR-1 is definitely a beast throught the straights, but the GTR carries more speed in the turns with its AWD system, and its pretty evident imo that the GTR has more power then either advertised or that specific one does because the ZR1 with over 100 more hp and over 500lb weight advantage should pull even harder on the straights, but that's just speculation, 2 different days mean 2 different conditions (head winds, humidity, etc, etc) And imo it looks like a bit more could be squeezed out of the ZR1 since some sections he was a little off, and tires obviously would help. But hey, ZR1 still all the way for me. Now GM needs to throw the Z06 out there and see what it can do since it really doesn't have much of a nurburgring time out there, all are from a stand still.

God what a great video. That zr1 is a masterpiece. Interested to see how the V-spec does, as that is the zr1's equal competitor, the gtr would be much better compared to the zo6, as they are in the same bracket price and model wise.

I'm pretty sure they put stickier tires (something like a Pilot Sport Cup tire) that's technically street legal, but is super soft with something like an 80 treadwear. There's something about the fact that it's available as an option on the car in Japan or something is how they got around it.

I'd take a Z06 or a ZR1 over a GTR any day though. Something about having a feature on the car that voids your warranty if you use it (launch control) just kinda rubs me the wrong way.

EDIT: Plus I've already had my fair share of drivetrain breakage, lol
